Readers say a woman can only contribute to her wedding expenses

49% of PNP voters believe a woman can only contribute to her wedding expenses instead of sponsoring it.

Worried woman

A reader, Vivian Ikechi, sent in a letter asking for advice after her boyfriend who is five years younger than her 38 years, insisted that if she wanted them to get married, she must foot the bill.

Being a well to do business woman, she says she is not totally averse to the idea but her dilemma is that the guy may see her as being too desperate and will not respect her in the marriage.

With that in mind, Pulse Nigeria Poll had this very interesting poser:

How Nigeria voted:

35% - Yes, as long as she has the money

49% - No, she can contribute some money

17% - Her husband will not respect her
