Military Cadets torturing their victim

Last week, there was a trending video where for military cadets were torturing a young man for allegedly complimenting a female cadet. Such was the outcry that followed the video that the Nigerian Military authorities have vowed to identify the culprits and bring them to book to serve as a deterrent to others.

The man in the eye of the storm, Sunday Amari, was invited by Channels Television in Abuja, where he gave his own side of the matter on why the cadets tortured him.

On the programme, Amari narrated that at the time, 2014, he was a staff of Abuja Park "N" Pay and was assigned to Jabi Lake resort where the incident happened.

The victim said that his initial offence was that a military officer had called for him but he could not get there fast enough nd the man's colleagues descended on him, beating him for not responding to an officer's call fast enough.

Amari said that it was in the process of the beating that the female cadet asked him if she was beautiful and when he answered in the affirmative, the cadets went into an overdrive and assaulted him some more, leading to him sustaining serious injuries.
