Watch CCTV clip showing a ghost getting into taxi

A weird footage of what seems to be a ghost following a man into a cab has left several internet users baffled, some cynical, and a few scared.

Ghost

The eerie shadow, which appears to be a slightly bent, dark-haired woman apparently followed the passenger through one of the rear car doors.

The disturbing video has gotten several responses from viewers, some of whom are of the opinion that the video is obviously fake, and has been cheaply edited to create the illusion of a ghost.

It is not uncommon in Japan to hear of drivers picking up strange figures, often referred to as ghost passengers. The occurrences became common in the Ishinomaki area of northeast Japan after the Tsunami and earthquake in March 2011.

According to unconfirmed reports in the country earlier this year, not less than seven taxi drivers have reported picking up a phantom passenger since the 2011 double tragedy which claimed the lives of about 19, 000 people.
