Erika Escalante, a student from Katy, Texas, and an intern with Isagenix, shared a photo of her and a friend picking cotton, which was harmless enough except for her caption.

An intern has been reported to have been fired from her job after her racist tweets reported to her company by other twitter users.

Erika Escalante, a student from Katy, Texas, and an intern with Isagenix, shared a photo of her and a friend picking cotton, which was harmless enough except for her caption.

Escalente posted the photo, commenting:

"Our inner nigga came out today".

The post soon went viral and offended Twitter users found her Facebook and career info and tweeted the company she interned for, letting them know about the offensive tweet.

The company in question immediately tweeted, replying that they were shocked by Escalante's actions and fired her.
