Farmer who gets high on Cobra poison will leave you baffled [Video]
Indian farmer leaves crowd amazed with deadly stunt as he gets high on Cobra poison.
The 68-year-old farmer, Ram Rakha, claims that the Cobra poison shot into his system, gives him a quick high which leaves him almost unconscious for a few minutes.
A video footage of this dangerous level of desperation for oblivion, even if for a few minutes, shows Rakha sic the snake to his tongue shortly before he seems to lose consciousness.
What would leave many paralysed with fear, gives Rakha a much-needed rush of adrenaline.
"I feel no pain. I am not scared at all. I bleed for a few seconds and I’m a bit drowsy but then I’m fine. I enjoy doing this.
"It’s given me status in the area. I believe I’m blessed by God and I can take the poison without any effects."
Rakha has made a name for himself, performing this stunt for over a decade in Surili village, in Rajasthan, Northern India.
Cobras which belong to the sub-group of snakes known as elapids contains postsynaptic neurotoxins that spread rapidly throughout its victim's bloodstream, causing respiratory failure almost immediately and, eventually, death.
Just how far are you willing to go for the next high?
