Teenager shot dead over shoes

Wilson was killed at his residence following a misunderstanding concerning basketball shoes, report says.

According to Fox News, Wilson is the grandson of Illinois U.S. Rep. Danny Davis.

Chicago Police spokesperson, Anthony Guglielmi confirmed the incident in a statement.

He said, "This stems from a dispute over shoes, basketball shoes,"

"Young people are using guns to settle petty disputes over clothes."

According to reports, there have been a total of 673 homicides so far in the year 2016.

Some of such cases include the killing of a cousin of Chicago Bull player, Dwyane Wade, a Chicago police officer's son and the son of a famed percussionist.

The police is yet to make any arrest regarding the shooting of 15-year-old Wilson, report says.
