According to a police report, a 40-year-old man tried to get into a shop in the Russian town of Krasnoyarsk through a hole in the roof - but got stuck.
When officers arrived at the scene they were shocked but they managed to free the man from the ceiling.
However, he was arrested and detained after.
The man told police he was not the first person to climb into the shop.
A criminal case has been opened against the unsuccessful thief. Huff Post reported
