Pregnant woman names baby ‘Ireland’ after going into labour on a plane
A pregnant woman names her baby 'Ireland' after the baby was born four months premature in Dublin, Ireland on a flight back from Paris.
The American Airlines flight was diverted to Dublin, and they rushed her to the hospital.
They arrived at the hospital just four minutes before she gave birth.
Jenny who was terrified said. ‘My big fear was that, if she was born on the plane she wouldn’t make it because she was so young and her lungs were not properly developed.
‘I just kept thinking, ‘please let me make it to the hospital’, because every minute counts without oxygen.’
They made it just in time, and they gave baby Zoe the middle name 'Ireland', in honour of her birth country.
Zoe will have to stay in intensive care at the Rotunda hospital in Dublin for a few months, but is said to be doing well.
A GoFundMe page set to help the couple while they stay in Ireland has raised more than £7,000.
