Woman arrested for stealing car says she doesn't remember it

Arlington County police say the woman went to a restaurant in Rosslyn, got into a car that was to be parked by a valet and drove off.

The woman woke up in the car at about 1 a.m., then drove home in the car and went inside to sleep.

Police spokeswoman Ashley Savage says that when the woman awoke, she called police, who investigated and then charged her with stealing the car.

The woman's attorney, Jeff Overland, says she has "fuzzy memories of what happened," and may have been "involuntarily intoxicated."
