They say a photo says a thousand word. Well, this five photos below tell us a whole lot of what happened in 2017.

They had an impact, they were viral and memorable. Most of all they were important to our daily conversations.

1) Ikoyi Loot

This was the snapshot of Nigeria's anti-corruption fight. In an apartment in highbrow Ikoyi, men of the EFCC found a sum of N13bn. The stack of crisp dollar notes was enough to make a grown man sweat bucket. This photo is definitely one of the gripping stories of 2017.

2) President Buhari looking frail

It was well known that the President had health issues for most parts of 2017. No photo highlights his poor health better than the picture of him getting down from the presidential jet in March 2017. Dressed in all black, the President looked frail and not in good health. Shortly after, a video surfaced of the President nearly stumbling after he got down from a Helicopter.

3) Anthony Joshua vs Wladimir Klitschko

On April 29, 2017, Anthony Joshua defeated Klitschko to become the undisputed Heavyweight champion of the world. The best shot of the night was of Klitschko whose neck was almost yanked off by Joshua's uppercut punch.

4) Banky W's proposal

Love once again reigned supreme in 2017 and the photo that caps it all off is the picture of Banky W kneeling down and proposing to Adesua Etomi. The photo broke the Internet and is one of the visual highlights of 2017.

5) Ebuka's agbada

Talking about stealing the show. Ebuka's deconstructed agbada was the highlight of Banky W and Adesua Etomi's traditional wedding ceremony. At some point, the photo was more talked about than the wedding itself.
