Reports from Benin, the capital of Edo State indicate that a candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who vied for a seat in the state House of Assembly, allegedly collapsed after learning that he had been defeated by the candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), in the elections held on Saturday, April 11, 2015.
PDP House of Assembly candidate slumps after losing election in Edo
A PDP candidate for the Edo State House of Assembly seat reportedly slumped when the results of the election of April 11 showed that he had lost to his APC opponent.
The man who contested for the Edo South constituency seat, was said that have borrowed a lot of money from different sources to prosecute the election, believing that he would be victorious but the reality dawned on him when he was soundly defeated by his opponent and had to be rushed to the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, (UBTH).
