A 30-year-old man in Lagos has been declared wanted after he murdered his step-father and fled.
The ugly incident happened in the Railway Line, Ilupeju, Mushin area of the state.
It was gathered that the runaway suspect hit the victim with a pestle on the head and leg after a disagreement over a cake made by his sister, Moyo Okanlawon.
The deceased, it was learnt, worked as a driver in a cosmetics company and had eight children from three women, before marrying Okanlawon's mother, a divorcee mother of four, as his fourth wife.
Trouble started when Moyo who is married with children, moved into the Momoh's residence after her husband’s apartment was reportedly demolished and the family experienced a fractious relationship.
On the day of the incident, Momoh had reported to his wife that Moyo had placed a cake she made on the his bed when he wanted to sleep and would not remove it.
Moyo in turn reported to her brother, Seye, who was on a visit at the time and he challenged his step-father, thereby leading to a quarrel.
The suspect reportedly grabbed a pestle with which he hit the victim on the head and leg and he passed out, with blood gushing out his body. He was rushed to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi Araba, where he died, while Seye escaped from the scene.
