Landlord throws out tenant who predicted victory for APC candidate

For predicting that Obaseki will win the Edo Governorship contest , this tenant is now homeless and penniless

Godwin Obaseki

Bassey is now homeless on account of his prophecy. His landlord apparently has no love for Obaseki.

The Prophet who resides in Rivers State, had predicted the defeat of the PDP candidate, Osagie Ize-Iyamu. He thereafter took to social media to share his prophecy with the world.

“I had a prophecy after prayers that Obaseki would win the election. I posted it on the social media because God instructed me to do so", Bassey told The Nation.

What God didn't tell Bassey, however, was that he would have no roof over his head upon his return.

“The prophecy came to pass. Obaseki won the election because he obeyed God’s instruction. While I was struggling to raise money to return to Rivers State after my stay at Obaseki’s campaign office, my younger brother called me that my landlord had thrown out my belongings", he said.

Bassey said he wasn't owing the landlord arrears in rent or anything of the sort.

But for supporting Obaseki, the landlord whose name has been given as Rotimi Sule, interpreted Bassey's support for Obaseki to mean the tenant was plotting his downfall.

“I don’t owe him. He said I should leave his house because I prophesied that Obaseki would win, on the social media. My landlord swore that he would not allow somebody who prayed for his downfall to live in his house.”

Sule had no apologies for throwing Bassey out.

“I cannot keep somebody who wants my downfall in my house", he blared.

”Yes, I asked him to leave my house. He should go and live in Obaseki’s house. Bassey cannot live in my house and be plotting my fall. Obaseki should give him accommodation.”

To paraphrase the Holy Book, ain't no love for the Prophet back home.
