Man baths friend with acid over business dispute

A man in Enugu was lured by his friend to a hotel where he was bathed with acid and forced to drink it

Enugu State Police command are investigating a case involving the acid bath allegedly inflicted on Sunday Uche from Amuri, Nkanu-West Local Government Area of the State in the hands of his friend.

The victim was allegedly lured to a hotel along  Enugu-Port-Harcourt Expressway by his friend where he was bathed with acid and forced to drink the corrosive liquid on June 23. He is currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Enugu.

Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, who confirmed the incident in a statement, said the victim had a misunderstanding with his friend over unidentified business transactions.

He said the victim was lured to a hotel at Gariki, Awkunanaw where he was bathed with acid and forced to drink same.
