When Mr. Usuah returned the money, many of his friends and family members made a mockery of him with some saying he would never be rich again as he had thrown away his only opportunity of making money.

One of the recipients of this year's national honours, Mr. Ime Usuah, a taxi driver, actually got the esteemed elevation due to his transparency, integrity and honesty when he returned the sum of N18 million a passenger forgot in his cab.
But today, he is a man of honour with a house to go with it, courtesy of the Federal Government, with the moral that honesty does pay.
