What would you do if your spouse steals from you?

What would be your reaction if you realise that your husband or wife has been stealing money off you?

"Dear Pulse,

My name is Katherine Peters and I have been for two years. But in all sincerity, I am fed up and I am thinking of divorcing my husband; thank God we do not have a child yet.

I work with a multi-national conglomerate in charge of our foreign exchange and there are situations when I have to go home with huge sums of money, both in foreign and local currencies. And that is where my problems stems from.

My husband always finds ways of taking from these money and anytime I confront him, he would flare up and at times, he would end up beating me. Only the two of us live in our apartment and there is no outsider that would steal from me.

I have tried talking to him to desist from such acts but it continues unabated. I have also caught him going through my handbag several times.

I am confused on what to do. I still love my husband so much and I cannot report him to anyone because of the shame such will bring to him but I am completely fed up and don't know what step to take.
