Morning Teaser 'My best friend's mother seduced me to sleep with her'

My name is , a 24-year-old fresh graduate from a private university in Nigeria. Without sounding vain or immodest, I must say I am a handsome guy with great biceps, being a fitness buff. All through my school days, I had girls falling over me with many of them asking me out and willing to hop into my bed if I gave them the slightest attention.

That said, I have a confession to make over an incident that has been tearing me apart. I have been wracked with serious guilt and the longer it stays in me, the bitter I become and I feel the best way to free myself of this guilt is to confess to my best friend, Olumide.

Olumide and I grew up together and those who did not know thought we were brothers because of our closeness. We lived just two houses away and we were always in each other's company. This closeness also brought our parents together and we became family friends.

I could go to Olumide's house even in his absence and had free access to their kitchen, likewise he as well. That was how close we were. We attended the same primary and secondary schools and were only separated during our university days.

Along the line, his father got a political appointment and their family had to relocate to Abuja. When I graduated and got my letter of posting for my NYSC to Abuja, his mother insisted I must stay in their house, even though Olumide was posted to Calabar.

So when I went for my service, I moved into their two bedroom guest house and occupied one room while Olumide had the other. When he went to Calabar for his service, I became the man of the house as his father was always away while the younger ones had all left for school.

One thing I must say for Olumide's mother is that even at 48, she could pass for a 30 year old woman because she takes good care of herself and can compete favourably with young ladies for men's attention.

Another is that she has always dotted on me and when I was younger, she used to tease me that I was her love. I did not take such compliments serious because she was like a mother to me but when I got to the house, I noticed she had not changed one bit on the petting and did it even more brazenly.

She touched me at every given opportunity, made sure I was dressed well when going out and passed compliments on me like a dotting girlfriend would.

Another sign of trouble was when two of my female colleagues came to visit me and when they left, Olumide's mother gave me a serious warning that she did not want me to have female visitors.

I jokingly told her I was a big boy and could take care of myself but she insisted that I was still her baby and as such, she does not want any competition. The meaning of what she said was not clear to me then until two weeks later when she came to my room very late in the night, telling me she could not sleep.

She had a bottle of wine with her with two glasses and asked me to drink with her. She was dressed in a transparent night gown and I must say she looked very seductive but since I did not have anything in mind, I did not think of anything lewd.

But when I woke up to find her naked beside me on bed, I knew she must have drugged the drink she poured for me. I struggled to get off the bed but she held me and told me not to go anywhere.

I was very weak from the effect of the drinks and with her hands doing things to me, I did not know when I started and we continued till late in the morning when she went back to the main house.

I was full of guilt and did not know how I managed to go through that day. Later that night, she came back and practically forced me to make love to her again. After that, I told her it had to stop or I would move out of the house and tell Olumide but she threatened that it would be my word against hers.

She also warned that if I moved out of the house, she would report me to the police that I raped her and that Olumide would surely believe her.

Right now, I am between the rock and a hard place and as the guilt keep ravaging me, I do not know what to do. As far as I am concerned, Olumide's mother would stop at nothing to continue sleeping with me and I am sure she would carry out her threat.
