Do you think Obasanjo's resignation from the PDP will affect the party?

Some people believe the resignation of former president Obasanjo from the PDP will affect the party. Do you think so?

On Monday, February 16, 2015, former president and a founding father of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olusegun Obasanjo, formally ended his romance with the party on which platform he was a two-time president as well as former BOT Chairman.

At a well publicised press conference, Obasanjo did something quite unthinkable by tearing his membership card of the party, effectively telling the whole world that he does not want anything to do with the party again.

That action has since drawn a lot of condemnation from the party's hierarchy which went further to say that they had already expelled the ex-president, while others have been sending tirades his way.

But those on the divide have been commending him on his action, believing his exit will definitely count against the PDP in the forthcoming general elections.
