Despite the lingering insecurity, bombings and killings going on in the country, coupled with the fact that the over 200 female students of the Government Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State, kidnapped by the Boko Haram insurgents, have not been rescued, the Federal Government under President Goodluck Jonathan have plans for an elaborate celebration of Democracy Day in the country come May 29, 2014.
