Can the Nigerian military defeat Boko Haram in 3 months?

Do you think the Nigerian military can defeat Boko Haram sect in three months as mandated by the FG?

Boko Haram sect

The directive given by the President Muhammadu Buhari led Federal Government to the Nigerian Military to make sure the menace of the dreaded Boko Haram insurgent sect be defeated in three months is being received by Nigerians with mixed feelings.

While optimists believe the military has the might and capability to rout the terrorists in the time frame given, pessimists believe it is just hot air being blown as such orders had been given in the past with nothing coming out of such.

In the past, the insurgents had also scuffed at such ultimatum, including state of emergency imposed in some of the worst affected states in the North-East of the country, but even in the face of the given deadlines, had proven more deadly, carrying out their activities with precision and reckless abandon.

But with Buhari being a former military strategies himself, there is hope that it will not be business as usual as the required weapons, ammunition and the needed welfare package of the soldiers are being looked into and given the priority it requires.
