A teacher is supposed to be a builder of morals in his pupils but that is not the case with one Saidu Mohammed, a teacher with Bulunkutu Science and Islamic Primary School in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, after he was arrested and charged before a State High Court for allegedly raping two pupils aged six and seven respectively, reports Daily Trust.

The police prosecutor in the case, Corporal Jackson Peter, earlier tendered a written statement purportedly signed by Mohammed where he stated that he took the two girls to an uncompleted building in the school and had sex with them.

The accused allegedly wrote in the statement that few days after he had sex with the two girls, he again invited one of the girls, gave her tea and bread and had another round of sex with her. He stated that on each occasion, he usually apply cream before having sex with the girls.

Another officer who investigated the case, Corporal Christiana Isa, also told the court that when she took over investigation of the matter at the State CID, the two girls were taken to Umaru Shehu Ultra Modern Hospital, Maiduguri where they were examined and a medical report made available, stating that the physical examination revealed that hymeneal destruction caused by forceful penetration took place on the two girls.

But Mohammed has denied defiling the kids, telling the police that the Headmaster of the school framed him up because he was planning to start his own school. He added that the police forced him to admit guilt even when he is innocent of the charge.
