Traditional ruler to release statement on marriage breakup soon

With stories unfolding by the day in the royal house, another story has been making the rounds.

The Director of Media and Public Affairs to the Ooni, Comrade Moses Olafare has said that an official statement to the issue would be released to the public soon.

In an interview with The Nigerian Tribune, Olafare stated that “in this era of social media, where people have free access to Internet, as constitutionally permitted by laws of the land, people can say anything."

“Inspite of all being said on the issue, decorum still requires that we in the House of Oduduwa maintains silence, at least for now. This is because marriage is strictly a private matter that should not subjected to undue public uproar. When it is necessary for us to talk, we will surely talk on the issue”, Olafare said.

With stories unfolding by the day in the royal house, another story has been making the rounds. A lady on the social media app, Instagram, by the name Abishine, has been rumored to be the new bride of the monarch.

This comes the exact day former bride of the Ooni officially announced that she was no longer married to the monarch.

Assumptions began to arise after Abishine posted some couple of pictures and videos of herself dressed a royal of Ile-Ife.

The light skinned lady has come out, debunking the rumours,  saying that she is not married to the monarch.

The lady  made the denouncement in a short video clip recorded on Wednesday while celebrating her birthday.

She said: “I am not Olori Wuraola’s replacement.”
