Delicious Naija in Badagry

This episode began with a journey to the coastal town of Badagry, historically known for its link to slave trade but also hosting the first primary school & storey-building in Nigeria.

Delicious Naija in Badagry

After a visit to the museum, Bunmi turned to what she’s really there for (and what we’re here for too, honestly)… the food!

What rains in abundance in Badagry? You guessed right: coconuts! And Oluwabunmi - wife, mother, MAGGI Star & resident of Badagry - knows a thing or ten about all the goodness of coconuts. A trip to Badagry Market and the waterside provided everything they needed for Oluwabunmi’s special Coconut Rice (featuring local rice & seafood) and for the tutorial on how to make Coconut oil - a super handy skill!

There was so much goodness in this episode: from what the best coconuts are to use for rice & oil, to some nutritious benefits of coconuts for breastfeeding mothers & children to how Bunmi-Squared cooked up an appetizing storm.
