Mother of 6 raped, murdered by unknown men in her farm in Abuja

A mother of six who is a widow has been raped and murdered in her farm in Abuja.

What manner of heartlessness would prompt the brutal rape and murder of an hapless lady?

The deceased, a mother of six, had reportedly left her home to the farm around 4pm on the fateful day, to work on her farm but failed to return home.

It was gathered that when her relatives became worried over her absence, they went to the farm to search for her only to find her dead body with her eyes and mouth filled with sand.

An in-law of the murdered woman, who is the ward head of the area, Malam Adamu Danladi, informed that an examination conducted on her body by some women revealed that the victim might have been raped by her assailants before or after killing her.

Danladi said the matter was reported at the Zuba police division, from where policemen were drafted to assist in evacuating the body.

When contacted, the Zuba Divisional Police Officer (DPO),  CSP Ayobami Surajudeen,  confirmed the incident, saying investigation was on-going.
