Famous Nollywood actor cum politician, Richard Mofe Damijo (RMD) has been honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award in Tanzania.

The actor's contribution to film in Africa is so massive, he's got to be recognized outside too!
The actor was one of the distinguished personalities who got recognised for their crafts at the recently held 2014 Africa Film Development Awards in Tanzania.
RMD, who recently turned 53, expressed joy at the gesture and continued to praise the film industries in Africa despite also recognizing the obstacles the industries face nowadays.
Alongside RMD, was former Africa Movie Academy Awards boss, Peace Anyiam-Osigwe who was recognized for her contribution to the growth of African cinema.
As well as Andy Boyo, who won the award for Best African Movie Producer and fast rising actress Mimi Orjiekwe who won the Best New Face in Nollywood award.
