According to eyewitnesses, motorists, commuters and passersby were shocked when they saw these LASTMA officials pull off their uniforms in the middle of the road and engaging in the messy fight with the driver.
Some of the passersby who took pictures were harassed and their handsets destroyed by other LASTMA men standing by.
The incident occurred at Anthony bus stop near Oshodi, Lagos, following the arrest of the driver for plying the BRT lane.
Another witness report that cause of the fight was when one of the LASTMA officials smashed the windscreen of the bus and when the driver came down to demand why the man took such an action, the official called his other colleagues from the other side of the road and they joined him in beating up the man.
