Ever wondered what the fusion between Trey Songz and Yemi Alade would sound like?
The song which also combines the talents of some other notable African superstars such as Uganda’s songstress Rema Namakula, Ivorian Sensation, Serge Beynaud, and South African Rapper, Emtee is one of the original tracks recorded and performed life during the International edition of Coke Studio Africa 4.
“Follow Me” is an interesting mash-up of very different unique sounds and genre that is laced with powerful romantic lyrics that are quite captivating. Yemi’s fusion of the Yoruba slang “Shomabi dele, jowo jekalole” further makes it a favourite.
The song is produced by the renowned DJ Maphorisa who is known for churning out top hits. Some of his great works include Maphikizolo’s “Khona”, Yuri Da Cunha “Atchu Tchutcha” and Davido’s “The Sound”. He also co-produced Drake’s smash world hit song “One Dance” featuring our own Nigerian Wizkid.
