University lecturer caught on video having sex with student sacked

The randy lecturer, Dr. Olabode Ojoniyi

Punch reports that Dr. Ojoniyi, a lecturer in the Department of Languages and Linguistics of the institution was caught on video having sex in a hotel room with one of his female students identified as Mercy Ikwue.

It was gathered that the lady who recorded the video using her laptop while the act was ongoing, forwarded it to the school authority after the lecturer had allegedly pressurised her into sex for marks.

The institution's Governing Council headed by Mallam Yusuf Ali, after deliberating on the shameful act of Dr. Ojoniyi, decided to terminate his appointment.

A member of the Governing Council who confirmed the sacking of Dr. Ojoniyi said:

“The Council met last week and the report of the panel that investigated Ojoniyi’s amorous affair with the female student was deliberated upon.

His appointment was terminated because that is the penalty stated in the Code of Conduct of Staff of Osun State University.”

Reports have it that Ikwue was said to have been pressurised by Dr. Ojoniyi for sex and she eventually agreed to meet him at the hotel with a laptop from which she pretended to be watching a movie but unknown to him, she was actually recording their sexual activities and later released the video to her friends who put it on social media.
