Nwoye, it was further learnt, who was one of the casual workers who usually offloaded containers at a company on the street, had had an altercation with Onuoha a few weeks back over Ngozi and had warned the deceased to desist from insulting his lover.

On the day of the incident, Onuoha, came into the area to see whether there were containers to offload, there was a fresh argument over Ngozi and before anyone knew what was happening, Nwoye had brought out a knife he had in his back and stabbed the victim on the neck and on the back.

The two other victims who tried to prevent Nwoye from further attacking Onuoha, were also stabbed before he tried to flee the scene but was apprehended by residents who had been attracted by the noise. The police at the Ajao Estate Police Division were quickly alerted of the bloody fight and they went there and arrested the suspect.
