Armed men abduct wife of parliament member in Delta State

The member of parliament whose wife was taken, was warned by the kidnappers not to disclose the situation to the members of the public.

The abductors demanded a sum of N300m for Cynthia's release.

Cynthia was kidnapped at the Effurun Roundabout in the Uvwie Local Government Area, on Sunday, June 26, 2016.

According to Punch, a family member of the MP revealed that he was sternly warned against disclosing the matter to the public.

There are suggestions that the abduction of Cynthia was in connection with a brawl which the law maker has been having with some youths in the state, another family member revealed.
