Kenyan gospel singer ditches husband hours after wedding

A Kenyan gospel singer has shocked her country people after she announced that she divorced her newly wedded husband just hours after their wedding.

Eunice Njeri and Isaac Busaka when the going was good

According to Standard Kenya, Nyeri shocked her fans across the world after she announced she was walking out of the marriage which held in the United States of America while her family and friends were still sharing the wedding photos.

The couple who had been dating for two years decided to walk down the aisle and had announced their engagement in September 2016, and later had their pre-wedding bash in the US before the main wedding on Sunday, November 27, 2016, at Neema Gospel Church in Texas, USA.

But just hours after the wedding, Njeri said she realized her heart was somewhere else and decided not to go ahead with the marriage.

She later took to her social media accounts on February 1, 2017, to state that her marriage ended at the wedding.

The 33-year-old Njeri took to Instagram to say that she and Izzo Raps are no longer an item.

Read what she wrote:

“On the 27th November 2016, Isaac and I did go to the altar to get married but at the end of that day, I realized one thing.

I couldn't do it; my heart was somewhere else. Probably in Africa, doing what I do best. Am still trying to figure that out. I immediately left for Kenya and have been serving God the best way I know how.

To all who supported Isaac and me, am grateful. May God bless you immensely. To all who were hurt in the process, I apologize. The marriage was annulled (like it never happened). No papers were signed.”

"We both made a decision to go our separate ways. I hope for your support and help as we move on. Like every other relationship, we hit a rock, maybe a little too early but I have since overcome.

Consequently, we have decided to go our separate ways and hope for the very best.

God bless you.

Eunice Njeri.”

Fans of the two musicians back in their country have been divided in their opinions with many trading blames on who could have been the cause of the problem or who should be blamed for the fastest divorce recorded in the country.
