A few days after coming out of prison after being remanded for 81 days, controversial journalist and blogger, Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo, has been begging Nigerians to assist her with money to pay for her legal services as the case of defamation of character rages on.

According to the daughter of former Oyo State Governor, Victor Olunloyo, she has spent over $300,000 in legal fees since her arrest back in March 2017, and therefore has gone broke and needs Nigerians to donate money to enable her to get good lawyers to fight for her.

She explained that expenses ranging from flight tickets, hotel bills, bail funds and several other legal fees have taken a large chunk of her money leaving her with no choice but to seek financial aid.

To this end, Kemi has opened a GoFund Me account and pleaded with Nigerians to help her fund the account because she has expended almost all of her money on the case with a return to the court on June 20.

“The case is not over; I still have to go to court on June 20th,” she wrote on her Twitter handle.

It seems spending over two months in jail  somehow sobered Kemi who had always been in an attack mode but on the same post, she promised never to attack anyone again and even took time out to apologize to some celebrities she had abused in the past, including Nollywood actress, Georgina Onuoha, whom she had a long drawn battle with shortly before going to prison.
