Jungle Justice Okadaman beaten to death for allegedly stealing goat in Ondo

A commercial motorcycle who allegedly stole a goat in Ondo State has been beaten to death by an angry mob.

An angry mob has beaten a 24-year-old commercial motorcyclist, popularly called Okadaman, Ilemobayo Anjorin, to death for allegedly stealing a goat in the Palmgroove area of Akure, the Ondo State capital.

It was gathered that Anjorin who is a chieftain of one of the branches of the Amalgamated Commercial Motorcycle Riders Association of Nigeria (ACMRA), in the town, and a friend, were apprehended with the goat on Saturday, May 21, and while the friend managed to escape, Anjorin was brutalised by a mob on the street who were reportedly  mostly students of the Adeyemi College of Education, before he was rescued by the policemen who took him to a hospital in the town. where he gave up the ghost.

An eyewitness narrated that the mob had to follow the policemen to the hospital where the doctor confirmed that the alleged thief had given up the ghost.

Confirming the incident, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), in charge of the Enuowa Police Station, Kunle Omisakin, said the woman who was the owner of the alleged stolen goat had been arrested while investigation had commenced into the matter.
