InMinna One killed, another injured as transport unions clash

Officers of the Niger Police Command have confirmed the death of one and another seriously reported during a clash between two transport unions at  the Abdulsalam Abubakar Motor Park, Minna.

The sad occurrence was as a result of a misunderstanding between members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and Road Transport Employers  Association of Nigeria, the News Agency of Nigeria reports.

Confirming the death during an interview with NAN on Saturday, October 22, in Minna, ASP Bala Elkaina, said that the injured person was currently undergoing treatment at Minna General Hospital.

Elkaina added that the police have invited the leaders of the two unions for questioning in the ongoing investigation so that the culprits can be brought to book.
