Valuables destroyed in Lagos Airport Hotel fire

Through the concerted effort of the Emergency Management Agency and the Lagos State Fire Service, the fire was stopped before it could reach other parts of the hotel.

According to Punch, the fire which started around the Banquet Hall section of the hotel started around 5 AM on the day.

Through the quick response of men from the Lagos State Fire Service and the Emergency Management Agency, the effect of the fire outbreak was minimised.

Fortunately, no life was lost in the accident, according to an officer from the fire service, who spoke to Punch on condition of anonymity.

The officer said, “With quick response from all emergency agencies, we were able to salvage the situation.”

“The fire was relatively much and property worth millions of naira was destroyed. But no life was lost and nobody injured,”

The effort to put out the fire ended around 6 AM on the day.
