A 21-year-old man has been docked for defiling a toddler.
Justice Seun, a 21-year-old man, has been dragged before an Ikeja Magistrates' Court sitting in Lagos State, for allegedly defiling a two-year-old girl whose father lives in thier (Seun's) house.
The accused who reside at his father's residence at No. 2, Abebi Street, Ogudu, according to the prosecutor, Inspector Simon Imhonwa, was said to have inserted his fingers into the private part of the little girl on September 7, 2015, after he had lured the toddler into his room.
Imhonwa said it was the baby's mother who raised the alarm following the child’s complaint of discomfort while bathing her and reported the case to the police.
The prosecutor said the offence contravened Section 135 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011, but regretted that the father of the baby was being prevailed upon to withdraw the case.
