An armed robbery gang which operates in buses, also known as 'One Chance', has been busted by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Police Command with two suspects, Ernest Emele and Sunday Victor arrested in the process.

The suspects described as deadly by the police, are said to be part of the syndicate that terrorise the resident of the capital city. They were arrested after robbing a female passenger who boarded the vehicle they used in picking passengers.

The duo who have been on the wanted list of the FCT police for a long time, met their waterloo after the lady they had robbed raised an alarm that attracted policemen who were on security duty around the area and they were arrested after a hot chase.

According to the police, Ernest and Sunday who have been in the one chance criminal gang for a long time, usually operate in a cab with which they pick passengers but eventually rob them.

They operate by driving round Abuja, targeting the busy areas like banks, shopping malls, eateries, schools and busy bus stops. They carefully select their victims whom they rob while in motion and forcefully pushing them out of the moving vehicle.

The police also found on the suspects some chemical suspected to be what they use in putting their victims to sleep, various mobile phone handsets, master keys, knives and other dangerous weapons.
