A-22-year-old man, Ismaila Fatai, was on Friday remanded in Ilesa prison  by an Osogbo Chief Magistrates’ Court for allegedly killing his uncle.

The accused is facing a  one-count charge of murder.

The Magistrate, Mr Olusola Aluko,  consequently  adjourned the case  till  April  27 for mention.

The Prosecutor, SP Mireti Wilson, had told the court that the accused committed the offence on Feb. 3 at about 9:30 a.m. at Fasina’s Compound, Ede.

Wilson said the accused used  firewood to hit his uncle on the  head during a family meeting.

He said the offence contravened sections 319 (1) of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Vol.11 Laws of  Osun, 2003.

The  plea of the accused was, however,  not taken by the court.
