Police arrest makers of fake petroleum products

The suspects was apprehended during a raid by agents of a Special Task Force on Pipeline Vandalism and Illegal Bunkering.

He was apprehended during a raid organized by the Inspector-General of Police Special Task Force on Pipeline Vandalism and Illegal Bunkering.

Other members of his gang managed to escape the clutches of the law enforcement operatives.

33,000 litres of adulterated fuel, jerry cans and other tools were recovered from the suspect and his gang, Punch News reports.

A police officer who spoke to Punch on a condition of anonymity said, “The scene of the crime has also been sealed by the IG Special Task Force on Pipeline Vandalism and Illegal Bunkering."

Other members of the crime gang are being trailed by the police according to reports.
