Devastating news reports have revealed that a pregnant woman and a man have been reported dead following a crash involving the tricycle they had boarded earlier.

Also resulting from the accident which reportedly completely ruined the tricycle, others involved in the accident are reported to have suffered varying degrees of injuries.

Vanguard recounts an eyewitness account, revealing that the policemen had been seen chasing the tricycle rider in their bus.

In a desperate attempt to evade the police officers, the tricycle rider is said to have climbed over the crash barrier dividing the road, diving into the opposite lane of the road without looking to make sure there were no oncoming cars.

The eye witness goes on to add that another tricycle coming from the opposite side, immediately crashed into the erring tricycle, leading to a pile up, involving a commercial bus and a jeep.

The police officers who had been hot on his trail, immediately took their heels as soon as they saw the accident take place.

The tricycle rider is said to have blamed the police officers for the accident which he insists was caused because they had been bent on collecting money from him.

The accident quickly led to a protest composed of tricycle riders and commercial bike riders who banded together, matching to the Adoff police station.

Vanguard reports that the police officers on duty locked at the station, locked up the gate following the accident and the ensuing protest.

As far as speaking with the DPO of the Adoff station, all efforts are reported to have been fruitless as the officers on duty had insisted that he was not on sit.

The tricycle riders are said to have called on the Inspector General of police for help before residents and commercial vehicles operators took laws into their hands since the police can no longer be trusted.

May the souls of the departed rest in peace.
