Anifowoshe granted the accused bail in the sum of N50, 000 with two sureties in like sum.
She then adjourned the case until April 10 for mention.
Earlier, the prosecutor, Insp. Eruada Victor, had told the court that the accused stole a Bajaj motorcycle belonging to the complainant, Mr kehinde Onilolobo, on March 21 at Ifelodun Street, Iju-Ishaga.
He said that the stolen motorcycle was said to have been parked within the compound of the complainant.
“When the complainant discovered that his motorcycle had been stolen, he reported the matter to the police and days after, the accused was arrested with the motorcycle,” he said.
The prosecutor said that the offence contravened Section 285 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Section 285 stipulates a three-year-jail term for convicts.
