Man appears in court for allegedly stealing 2 bags of spoon

The accused is facing a two-count charge of conspiracy and theft pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Insp. Richard Odigie, told the court that the accused had on Dec. 7, at about 6:00 a.m. at Hallow Way St., Lagos Island stole two bags of spoon.

He said that the accused and two others at large entered a store belonging to Samson Obike where the spoons were kept and stole the property.

Odigie said that the offences contravened Sections 285 and 409 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.

The Magistrate, Mrs F.O. Ikobayo granted the accused N50, 000 bail with two sureties in like sum.

She then adjourned the case to Jan. 10, 2017 for trial.
