The 10-year-old union between 61-year-old Sikiru Ojifinni and his wife, Toyin, was on Monday saved by an Ikorodu Customary Court, Lagos State, after the wife gave an undertaking to be of good behaviour.

The President of the court, Mr Olu Adebiyi, had after several within-the-chamber interventions, successfully resolved the differences between the couple.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the husband, who resides at Prince S.A. Street, Ikorodu, had in March approached the court seeking the dissolution of his marriage to Toyin.
The husband, who wanted to call it quits, had his spouse as too troublesome.
"My wife is just too troublesome; she is always fights me over little misunderstandings. She left the house for two days without my consent; in fact, the police had intervened several times in the marital disputes.’’
The wife, however, had earlier pleaded to with the court to save her marriage.
Adebiyi said: "This marriage has taken a new shape after the wife had pleaded with the court to save her marriage. She has also signed an undertaking that she will shun troubles and be at peace with him henceforth.
"I hereby order you to remain a good wife till death do you part.’’
The 45-year-old mother of four, however, thanked the court’s president and other judges for saving her marriage.
