An Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos on Friday remanded a factory worker, Kingsley Oshiegbu, in Ikoyi Prisons’ custody over the alleged murder of his wife, Ifeoma Ndidi, 32. Olajuwon, however, said that the court would not take the plea of the accused as it lacked the jurisdiction to do so.

The Chief Magistrate, Mrs M.O. Olajuwon, ordered that the accused be remanded in prison custody pending legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPPs). The magistrate adjourned the case till Aug. 10.
Oshiegbu, 37, who resides at No. 7, Majaro St., Agege, is standing trial on a charge of murder.
