A man in Edo State has been declared wanted by the police after he allegedly murdered his Austria-based lover who had returned home for the holidays.

Festus Aimufua is said to have taken the life of Rose Aifuwa after she supposedly demanded repayment of a loan she granted him before she left the country.

Aimufua is believed to have murdered the lady in the early hours of December 25, Christmas Day, and dumped her mangled body along Upper Mission Street extension around Oando Filling Station in Benin City, National Mirror reports.

Reports have it that the suspect owed the deceased a sum running into millions of Naira after she supplied him spare parts which he didn’t pay for.

The police in the state are reportedly searching for Aimufua and the case is expected to be transferred to the State Crime Investigation Department (SCID) for investigation.
