7-year old who donated money to vandalised mosque gets IPad from Muslim community

7-year old boy who went viral after donating his piggy bank money to mosque defaced after Paris attacks was given an IPad by the Muslim community in recognition of his selflessness.

Jack Swanson, 7, handed over his total savings $20 (4,000 thousand Naira) to help the Islamic Center of Pflugerville, after his mum Laura told him about the damage.

It seems Jack huge donation was much appreciated by the Muslim community as this week he received a special thank you in the post – a brand new iPad.

Also included with the parcel was a note which read: ‘Dear Jack, you had saved $20 in your piggybank for an Apple iPad. But then a local Islamic mosque was vandalised. So you donated your $20 to this local Texas mosque. Because of your amazing generosity & kind heart.

‘Please enjoy this Apple iPad with our sincere thanks :-). Love The American Muslim Community.’

The gift was organised by Arsalan Iftikhar (aka the Muslim Guy), an international human rights lawyer, author and editor of The Islamic Monthly Magazine.

He told Metro UK: ‘When I first saw the story about Jack donating $20 from his own piggy bank to help the vandalized mosque, it literally brought tears to my eyes.’

'After i got in touch with his mum and she told me he had been saving that money for an Apple iPad, I personally bought Jack the Apple iPad myself on behalf of our American Muslim community to thank him for his incredibly generous, and selfless act of love and compassion.’ Arsalan explained.

The pictures of the little boy with his new gadget were also shared on Imgur and Jack looks pretty pleased with his delivery.
