21-yr-old charged to court after second suicide attempt over boyfriend
The reports reveal that the young lady identified simply as Ifeoma, made the second attempt on her life last week Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at Berger Camp, Phase 2, Site 1, Kubwa, Abuja.
The reports reveal that the young lady identified simply as Ifeoma, made the second attempt on her life last week Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at Berger Camp, Phase 2, Site 1, Kubwa, Abuja.
Ifeoma had reportedly survived a first attempt to kill herself the previous Saturday before the recent attempt.
City News reports that the young lady, had been dating a customs officer, for almost three years before their break up.
Following the news of her lover's engagement to another woman in his home town, Ifeoma had reportedly vowed to not live to witness their union.
A source close to the family, revealed saying:
“When it became obvious that the man was bent on dumping her for the other woman, she drank a poisonous substance suspected to be an insecticide.”
Unfortunately, Ifeoma, who had reportedly been rushed to the Kubwa General Hospital following her first suicide attempt, where she was resuscitated and discharged during the course of the week, had attempted to take her life again on Wednesday.
The reports reveal that Ifeoma had been rushed a second time to the same hospital.
The Kubwa Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Chief Superintendent Nuruddeen Sabo, who confirmed the incident, added that the lady would be charged to court following her discharge.
