Just yesterday, the people of Hulumi Village in Abuja received a delegation of the Chinese Government and StarTimes Group to launch the digital TV project in Hulumi Village.
StarTimes donates Digital TV sets, decoders, educational materials to Hulumi Village
StarTimes gave out digital TV sets, decoders, projector TV for communal viewing and donated various educational materials to the Hulumi village primary school.
The CEO, StarTimes Nigeria, Mr Justin Zhang expressed the determination of the company to extend the digital entertainment drive of the company to rural communities as he pledges no one would be left behind.
The district Head of Hulumi community, Chief Samuel Kaura expressed his hoy over the decision of StarTimes to gift the community with the items which he pledged would be used judiciously to educate and inform the community members of happenings and developments around the world.
More than 5 communities have already benefited from this CSR initiative from FCT, Nasarawa and Kwara States with more communities already in consideration.
In attendance were delegates from China, Mr Guo Weimin, vice minister of the State Council Information Office, Vice President, StarTimes Group, Ziqi Guo, Director General of NTA and Chairman Board of Directors of NTA-StarTv Network, Alhaji Yakubu Ibn Muhammed among others.
