A wanted serial killer has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command after being on the run for several months.
The suspect identified simply as Tayo, according to the police, is said to be responsible for the murder of many people before, during and after the last general elections and has been on the run since then.
He was reportedly arrested at his hideout in the Apasa area of Ajegunle in the state, after he ventured out to lead his band of thugs to cause trouble.
It was also learnt that Tayo who is alleged to be on the payroll of many politicians in the state, is the leader of the dreaded Apasa Boys, a gang of hoodlums and miscreants who are used to cause trouble.
He is also said to be a top ranking member of the Eiye Confraternity.
A resident of the area narrated their joy in the arrested of the wanted bandit:
“Tayo was arrested at Apasa junction, unknown to him that the police were out for him. But his arrest did not come easy. The first team of policemen that attempted to arrest him could not because he used charms to glue himself to a spot. A reinforcement team succeeded in moving him from the spot.”
