The fake police officer

It was the end of the road for a dismissed police officer, Matthew Ochoche, as he was arrested by a patrol team attached to the Quick Response Squad (QRS) in Warri, Delta State, while still posing as a genuine officer.

Ochoche who was arrested while escorting a Ford Transit van carrying fairly-used Mikano SP 20 generating sets and Denyo Daw-18083.0 KVA welding machines, was dressed in full Mobile Police uniforms, with Force Number 255038 and rank of a Corporal, claiming to be a serving policeman attached to No. 20 Squadron, Police Mobile Force, Lagos.

According to the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Celestina Kalu, on proper investigation, it was discovered that Ochoche who once served with the 20 PMF Lagos, was dismissed from service on July 18, 2011, following an offence where he was found guilty.
